Cranbrook Day Nurseries owns a growing chain of pre-schools in West Sussex. Keen to show parents in the area how their flagship Little Monkeys Day Nursery applies innovative early years practice, Cranbrook tasked Showrunner with producing a series of thought leadership articles for a local press campaign.

Guided by the Little Monkeys management team, Showrunner identified the areas of innovative practice most likely to resonate with parents, including forest schools activity and support to make sure that children are school ready. We carried out desk research to gather material that emphasised the value of these innovations, including pedagogical theory and the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. We also looked at the benefits parents were seeing, collating a bank of testimonies that had been posted on social media.

Thanks to this process Showrunner drafted a series of compelling articles that showed how Little Monkeys is at the leading edge of innovation in early years provision and excelling in the delivery of statutory requirements. The articles brought the ideas to life with direct quotes from parents that highlighted the positive impact that the work is having on their children.

The articles were carried across a number of local papers and led to a spike in incoming enquiries to Little Monkeys Day Nursery.
